Sioux Falls Little Leaguers take pride in repping their city, state [Video]

WILLIAMSPORT, P.A. (Dakota News Now) – The Sioux Falls Little League team faced a potential elimination from the tournament Saturday with a matchup against Staten Island.

After taking some fielding and hitting practice, they prepared to leave it all out on the field. Their hard work is not lost on people back home and to the players, representing their city and state was something special.

On an international stage, Sioux Falls is beginning to make a name for itself with this year’s squad being the third to make it to the tournament.

“People are recognizing that Sioux Falls can play some baseball and I think that’s pretty cool. We have a lot of support. As we’re walking our way up the hill here we have a lot of people rooting for the Midwest, so I think our boys do a nice job of holding themselves high and representing very well,” …
