Firefighters, responders clear trees, power lines in McDonald County after storms [Video]

MCDONALD COUNTY, Mo. — Over in McDonald County, crews and local first responders have been working through the night to clear damage.

McDonald County Emergency Management Director, Gregg Sweeten, says the county saw windstorms of 70 to 80 miles per hour winds.

Southwest City, Pineville, Anderson, Noel, and Stella were just some of the cities hit the hardest across the county.

Damage includes trees and limbs on roads and on top of homes, power lines snapped and transformers down, leaving some homes without power.

First responders from local fire departments have been cutting down trees, cleaning up roads, and putting out structural fires from lightning strikes all night.
