WATCH: Man arrested in neighborhood break-ins rides past scene of the crime during 13 Action News interview [Video]

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Authorities have arrested a man accused of a break-in at a local home that was caught on camera.

The Lucas County Sheriff’s Office said Stephen Whitner is in police custody in relation to the incident. A post from the sheriff’s office said the state parole authority is working with local officials to file charges against Whitner for the break-in.

LCSO thanked the community for the help in identifying Whitner after the agency posted images from surveillance footage on Monday.

The incident happened just before 3:00 a.m. Monday morning, leaving a family in Monclova Township shaken.

“I took the day off of work, I couldn’t think of anything else. I kept watching the video over and over again looking for more clues,” homeowner Melanie Grover told 13 Action News.
