First Alert Weather: Seasonably hot weather in AL; Debby to become hurricane tonight [Video]

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – First Alert AccuTrack shows a few thundershowers developing south of I-20 as we head into the evening. Any shower around will pass quickly though, so most of us will stay dry and warm for tonight. Heading into tomorrow, Birmingham City Schools start their first day of school on Monday! We will likely start tomorrow morning dry and mostly clear with temperatures in the low to mid 70s. Tomorrow will end up mostly sunny and hot with high temperatures back into the low to mid 90s. I think most of us will remain dry tomorrow, but a stray shower can’t be ruled out southeast of Birmingham. Don’t be surprised if it becomes a little breezy tomorrow as Debby moves into Florida and Georgia. We could see winds out of the east-northeast at 10-15 mph with isolated gusts up to 20 mph.
