New online directory gives alumni businesses global reach [Video]

The directory connects participating businesses with the University’s international community of staff and alumni through a free listing on the RMIT website.

July, official luggage partner of the Australian Olympic team, and RIPE Cheese, the only purely Australian cheese business in the world, are among the more than 300 businesses to have signed up so far.

“The Alumni Business Directory has allowed me to not only join a global community with shared experiences, but to promote RIPE Cheese to the RMIT community,” Halim said.

“My products are reaching hundreds of thousands of people around the world.”

Deputy Vice-Chancellor Design and Social Context Professor Tim Marshall said the Alumni Business Directory was the latest in a series of initiatives designed to foster connection among the alumni community, along with chapters in six global regions, annual events, a mentorship program and dedicated social media channels.
