Non-profit drink and snack shop Buddies & Co. opens in Brandon [Video]

BRANDON, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – A brand new smoothie shop in Brandon officially opened its doors on Wednesday.

Located just a few blocks south of Brandon Valley High School, Buddies & Co. is the idea of a group of passionate moms and educators.

The shop is a place where young people with special needs can hang out, socialize, and find employment.

“It’s really important because it makes me so happy, I love when people come to see me here and my friends here. Oh, I am so happy and excited, because I get to see my family, former teachers and friends that come in here to our Buddies and Co. store,” said employee Andrew Knutson.

Buddies & Co. will be open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

They will be open Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to noon.
