Spectrum outage affects workers, Central Texas businesses [Video]

AUSTIN, Texas — On Tuesday, customers all over Texas dealt with a massive internet and phone service outage, later linked to Spectrum.

Because of the outage, a day of online orders went into the abyss at a local seafood restaurant.

“Our online ordering – customers, those who do have internet service, are coming in with orders, and we don’t see it, it’s not ready, they have to wait,” said Alicia Johnson, the manager of Austin’s Very Own Saltt.

Johnson said it is the result of the Spectrum outage stretching across Texas.

The restaurant is newly opened, and she’s worried about all of the potential missed transactions on Tuesday.
