Man accused of shooting, killing wifes friend [Video]

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A man is accused of shooting and killing his wife’s friend, according to Memphis Police Department.

Adrian Martinez, 29, is charged with reckless homicide.

On Saturday, officers responded to a shooting on West Gadwell Drive. When officers arrived they found women unresponsive from a gunshot wound.

The woman was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The witness on the scene told officers that her husband, Martinez, picked both of them up from work.

She said that when they arrived at her friend’s home on West Gadwell Drive, she heard her husband yell her friend’s name and then heard a loud bang.

When she looked back, she saw her friend was bleeding from her neck, according to the affidavit.

Martinez told investigators that he was playing and didn’t think the gun was loaded. Once he realized the gun went off he dropped it and called the police.

He is expected to appear in court on Monday.
