Investigation underway after woman’s body found at Melbourne waste management facility [Video]

Homicide detectives have swarmed a Victorian street after a woman’s body was discovered in a nearby waste facility.

Staff made the grim discovery when moving green waste at the facility in Epping on Cooper Street on Wednesday.

It took police three days to work out who she was and where she came from, today making their way inside a property in Coolaroo, looking for more answers.

Detectives used a locksmith to access the Hilgay street home today and spent over 10 hours combing through it and the bins in the backyard.

Officers spent Saturday on the streets, talking to residents and obtaining CCTV footage to try to work out what has happened.

9News understands investigators have taken clips of dashcam and CCTV footage from at least two separate properties.
