CINCINNATI (WXIX) – A Tri-State nonprofit working to help artists with disabilities is having to overcome a transportation hurdle after they say one of their vehicles was broken into.

On July 1, the first day of Disability Pride Month, Visionaries + Voices employees say they arrived at work to find what happened to one of their three vans.

“There was shattered glass, the driver’s side window was busted,” described Director Robyn Winkler. “It just feels very violating.”

The vans are solely used to transport artists, like Curtis Davis and Linda Kunick, to and from home to community events.

“I come here Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday,” Davis says of how often he comes to Visionaries + Voices.

Visionaries + Voices is a nonprofit that gives opportunities for artists with disabilities to do what they love in a way that respects their dignity as humans.
