Yankees Juan Soto scratched from lineup with new injury | Heres what we know [Video]

TORONTO — Juan Soto’s acrobatic slide at home plate in the fourth inning on Friday night was the first highlight for the Yankees in a 16-run outburst.

Soto twisted around catcher Danny Jansen to touch home plate with his left hand, stretching as far as he could before tumbling into foul territory.

It gave the Yankees their first run of the game … and led to a new injury scare for Soto.

Soto was scratched from the Yankees’ starting lineup on Saturday with a bruise on his right hand from that slide, the team announced shortly before first pitch at Rogers Centre.
