Into the weekend, crews will fight the fire by the air and ground in north Scottsdale.
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — The Boulder View Fire, burning northeast of Scottsdale, is at 3,700 acres and is 0% contained.
Residents north of Dove Valley Road in the Granite Mountain subdivision were alerted in the wee hours of the morning Friday to pack up their belongings and go.

Among the roughly 60 residents was Dani Nelson, whose family owns a barn with horses in the evacuation zone.
“Crap. This is serious,” Nelson told 12News recalling her reaction to the overnight wake-up call ordering evacuations.
Her second barn located a few miles south of the evacuation zone has been used as a defacto shelter for other horses or livestock in the area. She said all the neighbors look out for one another in the area.
