Student-made storefront coming soon to Troy [Video]

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) – Student entrepreneurs will be able to sell their merchandise in a first-of-its-kind physical storefront thanks to Troy University.

Troy University’s Idea Bank is partnering with the company, Student-Made, to create a brick-and-mortar store for student business entrepreneurs. Students will be able to sell their products and services in the store.

This comes after students expressed their main frustrations when it comes to getting their businesses off the ground.

“The one thing I hear over and over again when I ask what do you need help with, ‘I just want to market my business, I just want to grow, I just want to find new customers and this is the best way to help them,’” said Lynne George, the director of the Idea Bank.

One student who is taking advantage of this opportunity is Jessica Roberts. Her business, Jaxon Lane Boutique, is a combination of women’s clothing and a trucker hat bar.
