Upshur County voters get a chance to ‘Meet the Candidates’ [Video]

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. (WBOY) — In cooperation with West Virginia Wesleyan College’s Student Senate, the Buckhannon-Upshur Chamber of Commerce hosted a “Meet the Candidates” forum Wednesday night to help voters get a better idea of who will be on the ballot this May.

During the event, voters had the opportunity to hear directly from candidates running for various positions in Upshur County and the City of Buckhannon.

“We just want to give everybody a chance to hear each of the candidates and where they stand on the issues that are important to community members and give them an option of who they want to vote for. Most important, we want to stress please go out and vote on May 14, that’s the most important thing,” Buckhannon-Upshur Chamber of Commerce Director Tammy Reger said.
