3 ports in NE Wisconsin receive grants for maintenance and construction projects [Video]

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Nearly $7 million in grants will fund maintenance and construction projects at three different harbors in northeast Wisconsin.

The money is funded through the state’s harbor assistance program, which aims to help harbor communities maintain and improve water commerce, and was announced by Governor Tony Evers and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

“As billions of dollars of cargo move through our ports each year, maintaining and improving these critical parts of our state’s infrastructure is exceedingly important to ensuring Wisconsin’s businesses and producers can get products to market and we can keep building the 21st-century infrastructure we need to compete in a global economy,” said Gov. Evers.
