ANDERSON, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Coroner’s offices across the Upstate are reporting storm-related deaths caused by the impact of Helene on Friday morning.
ANDERSON COUNTY
The Anderson County Coroner’s Office said two people died from trees falling onto their homes. One home is located on West Whitner Street, that victim was identified as 55-year-old Christine Schmeiske and the other is located on Williams Road off of Whiten Road, that victim was identified as 54-year-old Sandy Lee Fisher.
SPARTANBURG COUNTY
Th Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office reported five deaths related to Friday’s storm.
The coroner identified one victim as Anna Maria Smith from Rainbow Circle in Inman. The coroner said a tree fell on her house while she was inside.
Officials said two were killed when a tree fell on them while in a golf cart and another died while trying to cross a flooded road. Officials report another was swept away by water. The coroner …
